MR. BO  ZHANG  STATES -

"The Minister of Health does not become involved in individual complaints brought against a regulatory college".
(Ref: Blog Posting January 26, 2017)

The "college" in question here is THE COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS & SURGEONS OF ALBERTA (CPSA).
The above statement refers to complaints made against CPSA and not complaints made against any specific member medical doctor (the discipline of whom is under the domain of the CPSA).
Complaints made against the CPSA is the responsibility of the Alberta Government to address. These complaints against the CPSA cannot be resolved by the CPSA and must be resolved by a higher authority.

MINISTER OF HEALTH INVOLVEMENT IN COMPLAINTS AGAINST THE CPSA

Bo Zhang's statement says clearly that individual complaints are not addressed by the Minister of Health (Hon. Sarah Hoffman).
Albertans conclude that complaints by more than one Albertan against a regulatory body (CPSA) would be addressed by the Minister of Health. Why is the complaint of one Albertan less important than the complaints of several Albertans when - Patient Neglect/Needless Suffering/Risk of Patient Death - is at stake?
Why would Minister of Health dismiss the complaint of ONE Albertan as unimportant but the complaints of TWO or more Albertans as worthy of her involvement?
Albertans question the logic of Mr. Zhang's statement.

ALBERTANS EXPECT PROTECTION

Albertans expect protection by the Alberta Government from harm due to mismanagement within a Self-Regulated Body (CPSA).

Surgeon Anderson requests communication from the Ministry of Health (Hon. Sarah Hoffman) & the Ministry of Justice (Hon. Kathleen Ganley) to address this very serious problem.
