PREMIER REDFORD'S WRONGDOING IN HEALTH CARE

COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS & SURGEONS OF ALBERTA (CPSA)
FAIL TO SELF-REGULATE
The CPSA has approved its dangerous incompetent investigation of patient complaints.
These complaints detail Patient Neglect with Needless Suffering and a risk of patient death.
These complaints were submitted to the Medical Staff of the CPSA who dismissed these complaints as unimportant and took no action.
The Council of the CPSA approved this dangerous incompetent investigative report from its medical employees.
No action was taken by either the STAFF or COUNCIL of the CPSA to address this serious problem.
A Criminal Negligence law suit was not filed because the patient did not suffer permanent disability.
Such incompetence of the CPSA could result in permanent disability of patients in the future.
There is proven evidence that the CPSA protects its medical doctor members and does not protect the public.
THE CPSA FAILS TO SELF-REGULATE
HEALTH QUALITY COUNCIL OF ALBERTA (HQCA)
HIDES CPSA FAILURE
The HQCA has been fully informed of this serious problem of failure of self-regulation by the CPSA.
The "top" three officials of the HQCA (Drs: J. Cowell, A. Fields, L. Tyrrell) refuse to discuss possible changes in the Investigative Process of patient's complaints currently used by the CPSA, changes that would address incompetent Investigative Reports by the CPSA and reduce Patient Neglect & Needless Suffering and the risk of patient death in the future.
These three refuse to correspond or meet with Albertans to discuss these necessary changes.
GOVERNMENT OF ALBERTA HIDES WRONGDOING OF
CPSA & HQCA
The following officials within the Stelmach & Redford Governments are guilty of wrongdoing within the Health Care System of Alberta:

The failure of self-regulation by the CPSA was brought to the attention of Hon. Dave Hancock
(Minister of Health) - June 29, 2007. Dr. D. Anderson was dismissed by D. Hancock in his letter of December 27, 2007 which stated in part - " I am unable to assist you further at this time".
Since this date, the Stelmach & Redford Governments have been fully informed of this serious problem.
No one in either of these governments dares to address the contents of this Blog Site!
PREMIER REDFORD - UNACCOUNTABLE IN HEALTH CARE
Premier Alison Redford has been fully informed of the above wrongdoing of the CPSA & HQCA.
She has taken no action! Why?
This premier was informed during three stages in her career:
1. Justice Minister in the Stelmach Government.
2. Candidate for leadership of the PC PARTY of Alberta.
3. Premier of Alberta.
Alison Redford dismissed Dr. D. Anderson in her letter dated July 29, 2008 in which she stated
in part:- " I am not in a position to assist you further ".
This premier, since this date has received numerous Registered Letters from Albertans requesting action on the above wrongdoing by the CPSA & HQCA.
PREMIER REDFORD HAS NOT HAD THE COURTESY TO ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT OF ANY OF THE NUMEROUS REGISTERED LETTERS from Albertans concerning Patient Neglect & Needless Suffering. She has not addressed the contents of these letters.
Is Premier Redford accountable and transparent?
Albertans must answer this question.

In Premier Redford's Throne Speech of May 24, 2012 she states the following:
" Your government will promote trustworthy leadership that genuinely takes Albertans' concerns to heart, and establish openness and transparency as guiding principles". Later on she states - " It will treat Albertans with fairness and respect ---".
Premier Redford has not shown trustworthy leadership and has imposed on Albertans, the Antithesis of "open" and "transparent" government. This premier has stonewalled Albertans on their health care ever since becoming the 14th Premier of Alberta in October 2011 and before that as Justice Minister in the Stelmach Government.
Anyone, including Premier Redford, who refuses to reply to miultiple registered letters over many years, concerning Patient Neglect and Needless Suffering, is indeed showing complete lack of accountability. Stonewalling citizens is the antithesis of democracy.
Continued refusal by Premier Redford to address the contents of this Web Site, will be posted at this site repeatedly until Premier Redford becomes accountable and visible by giving Albertans her response.

PREMIER REDFORD'S BROKEN PROMISES
When elected, Premier Redford's promise to Albertans was "CHANGE".
Unfortunately the Redford Government has proven to be even more unaccountable and invisible than the preceding Stelmach Government from which Premier Redford promised change.
Many Albertans have been alienated from the Ed Stelmach and Alison Redford Governments, Albertans who were previously firm supporters of the Peter Lougheed Government.
The Peter Lougheed Government was based on sound accountability, honesty and visiblily -
very different from the present Redford Government.
The Redford Government has created a culture of intimidation among Albertans (including the Main Stream News Media) by not being honest, accountable and visible.
PREMIER REDFORD - the time has come for REAL CHANGE and not a continuation of your practice of deception and falseness. Many alienated Albertans have withdrawn support from the
Redford Government.

ALBERTA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION IGNORES PATIENT ABUSE

IGNORES PATIENT ABUSE
The Alberta Medical Association (AMA) stands for "Patients First",
(Registered Trade Mark on AMA letterhead).
Unfortunately, the AMA has ignored Patient Abuse since at least the Blog Posting on this site dated
July 27, 2011 entitled - "AMA ACCEPTS WRONGDOING OF MEDICS".
On September 28, 2012 Dr. D. Anderson delivered the following documents on loan to AMA
(Edmonton Office) for Dr. M. Giuffre's review and comments:
- "The Anderson Journal on The Hon. Dave Hancock".
- "Addendum to The Anderson Journal on the Hon. Dave Hancock".
- "Albertans Ask Premier Stelmach for Answers".
- "Anderson - Theman Correspondence Finale".
Dr. M. Giuffre's letter to Dr. D. Anderson dated October 9, 2012 states -
"As the new president of the AMA, I am writing in response to the package of information that you kindly left at the AMA offices on September 28.
Respectfully, I must give you the answer that you received from my predecessor, Dr. Linda M. Slocombe, when she was president of the association. The AMA does not have a mandate to follow up on your request". Accordingly I have not provided any commentary on your documentation. I am returning your files per your instructions".
Dr. D. Anderson sent numerous letters to Dr. M. Giuffre requesting clarification on the AMA's stand on ignoring Patient Abuse by medical doctors - Nov.8, Nov. 15, Dec. 7, Dec. 10, Dec. 12 & Dec. 18, 2012.
Dr. M. Giuffre finally replied. His letter to Dr. D. Anderson dated December 21/12 states -
" Thank you for the correspondence that you have sent with dates between November 8 and December 12. My answer as provided with the greatest respect in my September 18 letter remains unchanged.
The Alberta Medical Association does not have a mandate to follow up on your requests".

IGNORES PATIENT ABUSE
The Alberta Medical Association (AMA) stands for "Patients First",
(Registered Trade Mark on AMA letterhead).
Unfortunately, the AMA has ignored Patient Abuse since at least the Blog Posting on this site dated
July 27, 2011 entitled - "AMA ACCEPTS WRONGDOING OF MEDICS".
On September 28, 2012 Dr. D. Anderson delivered the following documents on loan to AMA
(Edmonton Office) for Dr. M. Giuffre's review and comments:
- "The Anderson Journal on The Hon. Dave Hancock".
- "Addendum to The Anderson Journal on the Hon. Dave Hancock".
- "Albertans Ask Premier Stelmach for Answers".
- "Anderson - Theman Correspondence Finale".
Dr. M. Giuffre's letter to Dr. D. Anderson dated October 9, 2012 states -
"As the new president of the AMA, I am writing in response to the package of information that you kindly left at the AMA offices on September 28.
Respectfully, I must give you the answer that you received from my predecessor, Dr. Linda M. Slocombe, when she was president of the association. The AMA does not have a mandate to follow up on your request". Accordingly I have not provided any commentary on your documentation. I am returning your files per your instructions".
Dr. D. Anderson sent numerous letters to Dr. M. Giuffre requesting clarification on the AMA's stand on ignoring Patient Abuse by medical doctors - Nov.8, Nov. 15, Dec. 7, Dec. 10, Dec. 12 & Dec. 18, 2012.
Dr. M. Giuffre finally replied. His letter to Dr. D. Anderson dated December 21/12 states -
" Thank you for the correspondence that you have sent with dates between November 8 and December 12. My answer as provided with the greatest respect in my September 18 letter remains unchanged.
The Alberta Medical Association does not have a mandate to follow up on your requests".
