REFUSES TO COMMENT ON ABUSE OF MD'S
There has been a serious abuse of MD's by Health Care Authorities within the Alberta Health Care System. Some of these authorities are Medical Doctors within this system.
The John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre (University of Alberta) has been fully informed of this abuse.
Dr. D. Anderson delivered the following Open Letter to all Faculty and Staff of this centre (including
Dr. Paul Byrne - Interim Director), dated April 16, 2012:
"There has been a serious breach of Health Care Ethics in Alberta in the past five years by authorities both in Government and in the Medical Profession. This breach is outlined in the enclosed materials:
1. Edmonton Journal Article - 'Angry MD's Demand Inquiry' - Mar. 17/12.
2. Dr. Douglas Anderson's document - 'Ministers of Stelmach Government Refuse to Answer Surgeon's Questions'.
3.Blog Posting - 'Premier Redford Faces Voters - April 23, 2012'

The above Blog Site details breaches of ethics by medical doctors within both the Health Quality Council of Alberta and the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta.
Albertans anticipate the Faculty and Staff of this Health Ethics Centre to pursue these serious breaches in ethics".
Dr. D. Anderson sent the following letter to Dr. P. Byrne dated April 25, 2012:
"On April 16, 2012 I delivered to you and all Staff & members of Faculty of the John Dossetor Health Ethics Centre, copies of this enclosed material-

I have been advocating against Patient Neglect & Needless Suffering for several years. Would you and other members of faculty please offer your opinion on whether Douglas L. Anderson, MD., FRCS(C) has been abused in his efforts to advocate for patients, by medical doctors within the -
1. Health Quality Council of Alberta: Drs. J. Cowell & L. Tyrrell
2. College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta: Drs. T. Theman, K. Mazarek, J. Ritchie, J. Bell & H. Woytiuk
Your opinion is important in preparation for an Open Public Judicial Inquiry into the ills that plague the Health Care System in Alberta, which will no doubt be called in the future.
I await your early reply".
Dr. D. Anderson received the following letter from Dr. P. Byrne dated May 4, 2012:
" Re: Breach of Health Care Ethics in Alberta.
Thank you for your letters of April 16 and 25, 2012 outlining your concerns about MD abuse and neglect and suffering of patients in Alberta. I have reviewed the attachments enclosed with your letter. While I recognize that there have been public expressions of serious concern from MDs in Alberta about these issues I do not feel qualified to comment ethically on the material provided by you".
Dr. D. Anderson sent the following letter to Dr. P. Byrne, dated May 10, 2012:
"Thank you for your letter to me dated May 4, 2012. In your letter you state - ' ... I do not feel qualified to comment ethically on the material provided by you'.
