DR. KAREN MAZUREK REFUSES TO ADDRESS HER LIES
SMEARING DR. ANDERSON'S PROFESSIONAL REPUTATION
Following is a letter dated Dec. 5/12 from Dr. Karen Mazurek (Assistant Registrar & Complaints Director) of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) sent to Dr. Douglas
Anderson:
" I acknowledge receipt of your Nov. 28/12 letter and enclosures. I see that the enclosures refer to the College's investigation and management regarding complaint 060421.1.4, a complaint that you lodged against multiple practitioners concerning the care provided to Mrs. Evelyn Anderson. The College's determination was that there was insufficient evidence of unbecoming conduct. From the College's perspective, this matter is concluded and will not be reopened given that it was closed more than five years ago"
Dr. Mazurek is the "Resolver of Investigation Report" for patient complaint file # 060421.1.4
She sent this report after her approval, to Dr. Harvey Woytiuk, the Investigation Chairman & CPSA Councilor who closed this file.
In Dr. Mazurek's letter to Dr. Anderson dated March 7/07 the following is included: "Although you feel that Mrs. Anderson's hardware should have been removed ROUTINELY, both Drs. McMillan and Hunka have stated that this is not the usual practice and that hardware should only be removed if problems develop. The record does not support your allegation that Mrs. Anderson's hardware should have been removed following her surgery in 2006"
The allegation was in fact never made and is a BOLD FACED LIE submitted by Dr. Karen Mazurek. Dr. Mazurek has stated that Dr. Anderson in fact believes that this hardware and similar hardware in the future should be removed ROUTINELY from the joints of all asymptomatic patients by no later than three months!
Drs. John Ritchie (Complaint Investigator), Karen Mazurek (Resolver of Investigation Report) and Harvey Woytiuk (Investigation Chairman who closed this file) - if these three - had followed the policy of CPSA laid out by Ms. S. Baron (Manager - Complaints) "Should additional information or clarification be necessary concerning your documentation, Dr. Ritchie will contact you directly"

If these three (Drs. Ritchie, Mazurek & Woytiuk) had contacted Dr. D. Anderson directly - this severely flawed and very incompetent report would not have been accepted by any of these three, and patient complaint file # 060421.1.4 would never have been closed until it was truthful and accurate.
Albertans will not accept lies and incompetence from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta.
DR. TREVOR THEMAN (REGISTRAR) - CPSA
It is unbelievable that Dr. Trevor Theman (Registrar & top employee of this College) refuses to correspond or meet with Dr. D. Anderson to discuss proven wrongdoing in the CPSA!
Dr. Anderson has accused Dr. Theman of the following severe wrongdoing and yet he remains silent! Is he intimidated by others?
1. Refuses to accept proof that the CPSA protects its Medical Doctor Members at the expense of protecting the public.
2. Refuses to investigate proven lies submitted by medical staff employees to justify the closing of Patient Complaint File # 060421.1.4
3. Refuses to acknowledge that the three College Councilors who would have comprised the Appeal Board for Patient Complaint # 06042114 (if an appeal had been requested) had been fully informed on details of the patient history - well before any appeal would have been heard!
4. Insists that Dr. Anderson apply for an appeal if he is dissatisfied.
5. Refuses to acknowledge that the College Investigation of Patient Complaint # 060421/1/4 was severely flawed and showed gross incompetence.
6. The above 1-5 shows that Dr. Trevor Theman is himself incompetent.
