WRONGDOING BY HEALTH QUALITY COUNCIL OF ALBERTA

These two top officials of the Health Quality Council of Alberta (HQCA) have willfully ignored numerous Registered Letters and files detailing Patient Neglect & Needless Suffering ignored by the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).  These two medical doctors refuse to discuss necessary reforms to address the Investigative Process of Patient Complaints by the CPSA.  Furthermore they refuse to meet or correspond with Dr. D. Anderson and refuse to comment on any of his three documents showing wrongdoing by Health Care Authorities in Alberta.

The following letter was sent to Dr. Anthony Fields (who has replaced Dr. Lorne Tyrrell as Chair of Governance of the HQCA) from Dr. D. Anderson, dated September 5, 2012:

" On September 4, 2012 Albertans were informed by Hon. F. Horne, Minister of Health & Wellness, that The Government of Alberta has appointed you as the next Chair of Governance of the Health Quality Council of Alberta.

News Reports state that ' Fields replaces Dr. Lorne Tyrrell who stepped down because he was called as a witness in the health inquiry Fields will now oversee  ---- which means he will oversee the coming inquiry into allegations of queue-jumping in Alberta's health care system'

It is noteworthy that you retired last year from your position as vice-president of Alberta Health Services and have now been appointed to the Chair of the Health Quality Council of Alberta.

News reports state further that you have said - ' We can have a substantial impact on how health care is delivered, through working to foster ...  a culture of continuous improvement in quality and safety ...  One of the things that I see as important in my term as chair is that we the council actually hold ourselves to continuous improvement in the quality of our work, continuous improvement in the scope, and especially in the impact of our activities'.

ALBERTANS DEMAND that you expose PROVEN (not alleged) wrongdoing by Health Care Authorities within the Alberta Health Care System.  The obvious way of exposure is through an OPEN PUBLIC JUDICIAL INQUIRY into the ills that plague the Alberta Health Care System.

Albertans await to see whether Dr. A. Fields will expose this wrongdoing or add yet another layer of wrongdoing to this long record of wrongdoing by Authorities within the Health Care System of Alberta.
