On April 18, 2023 Alberta Senior Surgeon Douglas L. Anderson sent the following Registered Letter to Rachel Notley, K.C. This letter was returned to him by Canada Post on May 10, 2023. This letter was then delivered personally by Surgeon Anderson to Notley Staff (P. McK) at 10343 80th Avenue, Edmonton Alberta on May 15, 2023 (Notley Constituency Office closed from May 1 to May 29).

A review of my records shows that during your premiership of Alberta from May 2015 to April 2019 you refused to communicate with Alberta Senior Surgeon Douglas L. Anderson, continuously for four years about his concerns on Patient Neglect, Needless Suffering & Risk of Patient Death, all approved by the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta and the Health Quality Council of Alberta.
You and your Ministers of Health S. Hoffman, Minister of Justice K. Ganley and minister L. Sigurdson refused to respond to numerous letters and blog postings sent to your ministers.
