ALBERTA SENIOR SURGEON DOUGLAS LLOYD ANDERSON HAS BEEN ABUSED BY ALBERTA AUTHORITIES - (ALBERTA POLITICIANS-LAWYERS-MEDICAL DOCTORS) FOR 20 YEARS (2005 - 2025)

This abuse began July 4, 2006 when Alberta orthopedic Surgeon assessed his surgical repair (Mar 6/05)of his patient's fractured knee-cap (patella) as NO PROBLEM - HOWEVER on the same day (July 4/06) the patient (RN) and her Medical Doctor (MD) Advocate assessed the knee as acutely inflamed with imminent risk of EXPULSION OF SURGICAL HARDWARE WHICH IN FACT OCCURRED 3 DAYS LATER. Attempts to have the surgeon act before this emergency occurred - failed! This orthopedic surgeon's postoperative care of the patient was irresponsible and criminal and resulted in Patient Neglect, Needless Suffering & Risk of Patient Death. This case history (patient complaint file # 060421.1.4) was investigated by the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) for 4 months (Nov/06 - Feb/07) and concluded that there was no wrongdoing and dismissed the patient and her advocate.
Subsequent investigation of CPSA by the Health Quality Council of Alberta (HQCA)(Drs. Lorne Tyrell, John Cowell, Anthony Fields) found no fault with the CPSA investigation and dismissed the patient's advocate in a letter stating that --"we are not in a position " and refused any further communication with the patient advocate. The Patient Advocate is Senior Surgeon Douglas L. Anderson - age 91 years.
The above information has been conveyed since 2007 to numerous Alberta authorities inclusing seven Alberta Premiers & their cabinets (Stelmach, Redford, Hancock, Prentice, Notley, Kenny, Smith), CPSA, HQCA, Law Society of Alberta. This information was conveyed by numerous Registered Letters (which were received but ignored) and numerous Blog Postings sent by e-mail at Blog Site medics-fail-to-self-regulate.blogspot,com, which were received but ignored.
Surgeon Anderson is advocating for a reform in the INVESTIGATIVE PROCESS used by the CPSA, to prevent any incompetent & criminal investigations in the future. The CPSA & HQCA are not receptive - why? The Government of Alberta, which has supreme authority over Self-Regulated Bodies (CPSA & Law Society of Alberta) refuses to take action - why?

DAVID HANCOCK, K.C. (Dec 15/06-Mar 12/08) Abuse of Senior Surgeon Douglas L. Anderson by the Government of Alberta began on June 29, 2007 with a letter from Surgeon Anderson to Hon. David Hancock - Minister of Health asking for help to investigate the CPSA for conducting a completely flawed investigation of complaints against an Alberta surgeon. It took until Nov 27, 2007 until Mr, Hancock contacted Surgeon Anderson by letter but only after receiving 5 Registered Letters from Surgeon Anderson (June 29/07;Aug 17/07;Sept 3/07;Sept 21/07 & Sept 28/07) Mr. Hancock's letter dated Nov 27/07 did not answer Surgeon Anderson's questions and offered no assistance and stated " --- the Government of Alberta has no authority to intervene in College investigations or disciplinary proceedings". Mr. Hancock, Q.C. is being asked to address misconduct of CPSA Executive Officers & Board of Directors which demonstrated failure to Self-Regulate and is not being asked to intervene in disciplinary proceedings of a member medical doctor. Surgeon Anderson in his letter of June 29/07 states " --- on the basis of this totally flawed investigation, I have rejected an appeal ---- to confront a Regulatory/Administrative Body (such as the CPSA) would cost me a fortune in legal fees and many years of my life --- I trust that the Government of Alberta can take measures to address the above problem". Albertans understand that the Government of Alberta has the ultimate & final responsibility and authority of assuring that Albertans receive the best possible Health-Care and is obligated to protect the public from Failure to Self-Regulate as demonstrated by th CPSA.

PREMIER REDFORD - The Redford & Stelmach Governments have refused to investigate the failure of the CPSA to Self-Regulate. The CPSA conducted a completely flawed & incompetent investigation (involving lies) of a patient's complaint against a surgeon. Surgeon Anderson requested the Government Authorities toreform the Investigative Process used by the CPSA so that future patients would not be subjected to incompetent CPSA investigations. The Alberta Government has the Supreme Authority to assure accurate & honest patient investigations by the CPSA. The Health Quality Council of Alberta (HQCA) studied private documents of Dr. Anderson (on loan) for several months showing detail of the incompetent investigation of the patient's complaints by the CPSA that supported medical doctors and did not protect patients. The HQCA returned Private Documents to Surgeon Anderson without comments! Premier Redford & her Ministers of Health & Justice have been informed of this serious problem and despite numerous Registered Letters and 91 Blog Postings sent to them, they refuse to communicate - why? The only meaningful contact was an anonymous letter from Legal Services Division - Alberta Justice which states in part ---"we acknowledge receipt of your letters---- this will be our final reply on this matter---seek legal advice and to pursue your matter through the appeal process of the College of Physicians & Surgeons". Surgeon Anderson appealed for help (letter to Health Minister David Hancock June 29, 2007) and rejected the appeal process.
